A mural on the exterior of the Polson Flathead Lake Museum would serve as a powerful visual representation of the community’s heritage while enhancing the museum’s role as a cultural and educational destination. By depicting significant historical events, the regions homesteading era, the traditions of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, and the natural beauty that defines the Polson area, the mural would create an immediate and meaningful connection between visitors and the regions history.
The museum has many marionettes to inspire the artist, Vicky Poole to create lively scenes depicting Lewis and Clarkes’ adventures.
